Propelr recognises that your privacy is important to you and that it is your right to control your personal information. We recommend that you read this Privacy Policy in full to ensure that you understand how we handle your information.

Section 1 – General: This Section applies to everyone who visits the Propelr Website, uses the Propelr Platform, or otherwise interacts with us. In addition to Section 1, either Section 2 or Section 3 below may also apply.
Section 2 – Individual: This Section applies if you are an individual who has registered as a consumer via the Propelr Platform.
Section 3 – Propelr Partner: This Section applies if you are a solicitor, conveyancer, estate agent or other professional user who interacts with us.

In this Privacy Policy, the following words have the following meanings:
"Agreement" means an agreement between Propelr and a Propelr Partner for the provision of Propelr Services.
"Data Protection Laws" means all data protection and privacy legislation, regulation and guidance applicable from time to time in force in the UK and the EU/EEA including (but not limited to) Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Retained Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (UK GDPR).
"Individual" means an individual (i.e., an individual property buyer or seller) who has registered via the Propelr Platform and set up a Propelr Individual Account and/or using Propelr Services.
"Personal Information" means information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
"Propelr Individual Account" means an account created by an Individual via the Propelr Platform.
"Propelr Partner" means an estate agent, solicitor, conveyancer or other partner of Propelr which uses Propelr Services.
"Propelr Partner Account" means an account created by a Propelr Partner (or created by Propelr for the benefit of the Propelr Partner) to enable the Propelr Partner to access and use the Propelr Services.
"Propelr Platform" is any platform made available to you from time to time by us in respect of the Propelr Service and any of its content.
"Propelr Service" is the service offered by us in respect of facilitating residential conveyancing transactions, including use of the Platform where applicable.
"Propelr Website" means Propelr's website at https://www.propelr.co.uk, or such other URL as Propelr may from time to time designate.
This section applies to everyone who visits, or otherwise interacts with, the Propelr Website and/or the Propelr Platform, or otherwise interacts with us.
Some cookies ensure that certain parts of the website work properly and that your user preferences remain known. By placing functional cookies, we make it easier for you to visit our website. This way, you do not need to repeatedly enter the same information when visiting our website and, for example, the items remain in your shopping cart until you have paid. When you visit the Propelr Website, or use the Propelr Platform, we may collect and process the following Personal Information:

Depending on your circumstances:
If you are an individual who has used or is using our services then we will do this for our legitimate interests of promoting our business to existing and former customers;
If you have not used our services then we will not send you marketing information or updates unless you have given us your consent to receive that information (i.e. if you have requested to receive updates and marketing information from us).
If you are an Individual or Propelr Partner, we collect and process additional personal Information about you. Please see Section 2 or Section 3 of this Privacy Policy.
We may share your Personal Information with the following categories of recipients:
our third-party services providers or subcontractors (including our independent consultants, data analytics providers and cloud-based data processing and hosting providers) who:
provide services to us (for example, to support the delivery of, provide functionality on, or help to enhance the security of the Propelr Website and the Propelr Platform); or
process Personal Information for content customisation, personalisation, ad selection and ad delivery and reporting, measurement purposes; or
otherwise process Personal Information for purposes that are described in this Privacy Policy or notified to you when we collect your Personal Information.
If we share Personal Information with our third-party services providers or subcontractors, we will only do so insofar as it is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which we have collected it.

We will take appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk that could be encountered via the use of the Propelr Website, the Propelr Platform and/or the Propelr Service, taking into account the likelihood and severity those risks might pose to your rights and freedoms.
In particular, we will take precautions to protect against the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss or alteration, or unauthorised disclosure of or access to the Personal Information transmitted, stored or otherwise processed by us. Please be aware that, while we make the security of the Propelr Website, the Propelr Platform, the Propelr Service and your Personal Information a high priority and devote considerable time and resources to maintaining robust IT security, no security system can prevent all security breaches. When you choose to share your Personal Information with us, you accept the aforesaid and provide your information at your own risk.

Where we are processing your Personal Information on the basis of consent, you have the right at any time to withdraw that consent to our processing of your Personal Information.
You have the right to be told what Personal Information we hold about you on our database and how we process that data.
You have the right to request that we provide you with a copy (in a commonly used electronic format) of all the Personal Information that we hold about you. You will not have to pay a fee for a copy of this data. However, if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive, we have the right to charge you a reasonable fee. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.
You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete Personal Information that we hold about you.
You have the right to request that we irretrievably delete all Personal Information that we hold about you (the so-called “right to be forgotten”). Note that there are limited circumstances in which we are legally entitled to refuse to comply with this request under Data Protection Laws.

This section describes what information is collected by Propelr from Individuals, how that information is used by Propelr, and for how long Propelr keeps the information.
When you set up your Propelr Individual Account we will ask you to provide some or all of the following Personal Information, depending on the type of transaction that your solicitor, estate agent or other adviser (i.e. the relevant Propelr Partner) has asked us to provide:
Your full name
Your email address
Your username and password (which you create)
Your postal address
Your telephone number
Information specific to your transaction (e.g. details of the property you are buying or selling, mortgage and other financial details)
employment information (e.g. employer, occupation, how long you have worked there)

Contact details of additional third parties that you might want to share your information with (e.g. your adviser’s full name, your employer’s name, their addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers)

We may also collect and process further Personal Information that you provide in response to requests from your solicitor, estate agent or other adviser, including information relating to the transaction or other activities that you are involved with.

To enable you to share your personal information with any third parties that you designate, e.g. if you instruct a solicitor to write your will then you may choose to provide the solicitor with access to your information via your Propelr Individual Account.
To put in place and perform our contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into a contractOur legitimate interests of providing information about our services to you and responding to your queries and ensuring the services provided are as efficient as possible.
Our legitimate interest of minimising fraud that could be damaging to you and/or us.
Create aggregated and anonymised data (once anonymised the data will not longer form part of your Personal Information).
Our legitimate interest of compiling statistical and property data to monitor patterns of transactions, carry out market research and improve our products and services.
We will share your Personal Information the relevant Propelr Partner, who is likely to be the solicitor, conveyancer, estate agent or other adviser who requested that you use the Propelr Services and/or Propelr Platform.
We may also share your Personal Information with third party service providers Propelr Services (including but not limited to identity verification checks and source of funds checks) for your solicitor, estate agent or other adviser. Where we share your Personal Information with third parties, we will only do so as far as it is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
If you decide to contact us via a social media platform such as Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter then you should be aware that you will be sharing your personal data and any information contained in your message via that social media platform. We interact with social media messaging platforms for inbound enquiries only and do not proactively share personal information with them. We endeavour to respond to social media enquiries via our other channels, typically email or over the phone.
Where we need to collect Personal Information by law, or under the terms of an Agreement, and you fail to provide that information when requested, we may not be able to provide the Propelr Service to you. In this case, we may have to cancel our Agreement with you and/or the Propelr Partner but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.
Our servers are located in the European Union and the Personal Information that we collect directly from you will be stored on these servers. We may also transfer your Personal Information to one or more of our third-party service providers, some of which may be located outside of the EU, or operate from multiple locations (including non-EU locations). If your lawyer or other adviser is located outside the EU then we may also transfer your Personal Information to them.
Whenever we transfer your Personal Information out of the UK, we will ensure that it will be protected to a similar degree in that jurisdiction as within the UK and that the transfer meets one of the requirements set out in Data Protection Laws governing international transfers of data.
There are agreements in place to ensure that any international transfers of Personal Information to our third party service providers have appropriate safeguards that meet the requirements of Data Protection Laws.
Such appropriate safeguards may include standard data protection clauses adopted by a data protection regulator and approved by the European Commission, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

We retain the information you provide to us through your Propelr Individual Account via the Propelr Platform for the purposes set out above for a period of 10 years.
We may create aggregated and anonymised data to use for our business purposes but this will not include your Personal Information.
This section describes what information is collected by Propelr from Propelr Partners, how that information is used by Propelr, and for how long Propelr retains the information.
During the on-boarding process we may collect the following Personal Information:
Names and contact details of Propelr Partner personnel who will be using the Propelr Services.
Usernames and passwords.
Regulatory information of the Propelr Partner.
Your IP address
Your communication preferences.
We use the reCAPTCHA service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”) to protect your submissions via internet submission forms on this site. This plugin checks if you are a person to prevent certain website functions from being abused by spam bots.
The reCAPTCHA plugin may collect information about your device and browser, such as:
